    On a couple of sites I get this error:

    Fatal error: Uncaught wfWAFStorageFileException: Unable to save temporary file for atomic writing. in /srv/users/mydomain/apps/mydomain/public/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/vendor/wordfence/wf-waf/src/lib/storage/file.php:13 Stack trace: #0 /srv/users/mydomain/apps/mydomain/public/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/vendor/wordfence/wf-waf/src/lib/storage/file.php(497): wfWAFStorageFile::atomicFilePutContents('/srv/users/mydomain...', '<?php exit('Acc...') #1 [internal function]: wfWAFStorageFile->saveConfig() #2 {main} thrown in /srv/users/mydomain/apps/mydomain/public/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/vendor/wordfence/wf-waf/src/lib/storage/file.php on line 13

    Also can’t login to admin at all. No error or anything, login page just seems to reload.

    Tried renaming wflogs as per this topic:
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-unable-to-verify-temporary-file-contents-for-atomic-writing/
    and the error goes away but I still can’t login to admin.

  • Hi,
    Most probably there was a permissions issue related to “wflogs” directory, if you can’t access the dashboard till now even when the errors are gone, then I recommend checking the error log files for any errors that might appear there.

    You can get in contact with your web host if you don’t know where is this error log file, or edit (wp-config.php) file and replace this line:
    define('WP_DEBUG', false);
    with:

    define('WP_DEBUG', true);
    define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);
    define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);

    So when you aren’t able to access the dashboard again, you can check this file (/wp-content/debug.log) for any error messages.

    Let me know how it goes,
    Thanks.

    Hi,

    the problem was actually due to disk space running out and thus preventing writing to files and database. Adding more space solved the problem.

    Thanks for the update!
