Today morning I tried to login my wordpress blog but it refused my admin account credentials. I’ve been through all the old posts and tried everything. I use FF3 and IE7 on two different computers, with 2 different versions of Windows. Nothing works. Where is the automatic upgrade plugin stored? I don’t have it in my plugins folder, but I am notified if I need to do an automatic upgrade. * I renamed my plugins folder to _plugins and voila! Thanks for this thread! * Akismet wasn’t the culprit. I think there’s a corruption of plugins during upgrade, but it doesn’t seem to be a specific plugin. It’s not host specific either. * Your best hope is to rename your plugins directory, re-create it empty, and re- upload your plugins. Plugins can cause problems. If you have an automatic upgrade plugin, get rid of it, unless you can stay up with the times enough to upgrade or disable your plugins before your wordpress is upgraded. They cause problems oftentimes.
