# Cannot log in after upgrading

 * After upgrading my wordpress to v. 2.2.1 I’am unable to log on to the admin pages.
   
   Even though I have changed the passwords in the database via phpMyAdmin, it still
   doesn’t work. When I try try to log on to ../blog/wp-login.php I get the following
   message: “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” and nothing
   else.

 * Just for your own clarification and to help you search for solutions — what you
   are seeing is NOT the ability to login.
 * You are logging on fine. Its not a password/login issue.
 * This,
 * “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”
 * is your problem.
 * The message you are seeing is ONLY triggered after a successful login.
 * At least knowing that, you can stop trying to fix it by changing your password.

 * No, it was not a user/password issue. But I found an explination – and more important
   a solution – here:

 * Note that the force-upgrade.php is to be run after uploading the files
    of the
   new version.
