You’ll need to use FTP or other file manager to access your site files – find your theme folder and rename it –
wp-content
themes
headlessHOLD
I can see that you put that code at the top of the header.php and the CSS file – both of which are wrong. You will need to remove that code or reinstall your theme.
Where is it safe to put the google analytic tracking code?
Do I rename the folder or do you mean I need to past this:
wp-content
themes
headlessHOLD
at the top of the file for the header.php and CSS?
I thought you are not able to login to your site?
You need to rename that folder using FTP access to the files on the server – it’s not anything in your Dashboard.

I’m just trying to sort this out now and hopefully I can find where these files are. If I can’t find where these files are, is there anyway I can recreate them?
So if I can find these files, I just need to change their names?
Actually, just looked it up and it and your site is on BlueHost? They are down right now – due to server attacks.
Yes, we have bluehost. Is that why I can’t access it?
Yes. Bluehost are currently having network problems. See http://mashable.com/2013/08/02/bluehost-down/
It’s still down though. Is Bluehost still down? It’s been like this for four days now!
No, from what you said initially that wasn’t the actual problem – it’s just that there was no way to start fixing it when the servers were down. Have you changed the name on your theme folder per the above?
I’ve never touched the theme folders locally. The person in the office who started this is no longer with the company. I’m not sure where they are located. I’m trying to find them now so I can make those suggested changes. Could they be with bluehost?
I believe I’ve located the files. Do I just copy and paste this code
wp-content
themes
headlessHOLD
at the top of the suggested files?
No, reread what I posted above:
find your theme folder and rename it –
wp-content
themes
headlessHOLD
When I try to rename the files, it gives me an error message stating:
FileOp Failure On: /home3/senatepr/public_html/wp-content/themes/headless/header.php: no scuh file or directory
google analytic usually goes on footer.php of your theme. you need to rename the theme folder to something else headlessHOLD is not a code!!! or go to wp-user table in your DB find the admin user then change the email to something you have access on. plan C: on wp-option table clear everything inside wp-active plugins
When I try to rename the files
No – not files. Rename the headless folder to headlessHOLD.
