Support » Plugin: IssueM » Cannot load issuem

  • A newbie to Worpress so please be kind. I maintain a website for the Anlo-Italian Family History Society which is based on a mixture of html & php pages that access a MySQL database and Excel spreadsheets. For a variety of reasons I’m investigating a migration to WordPress. There have been a number of issues with the migration of the php scripts that I’ve managed to work around. One of the driving reasons for the migration is the Society’s quarterly magazine. This has been produced by the Editor using MS Word for the hard copy edition and converted to a pdf version for an online version. The Editor has stood down and there isn’t a replacement. It has been suggested that WordPress could offer a solution to produce and archive the online version from members input. I found the IssueM plugin which appears to offer the mechanism. I have followed the Help instructions for installing and setting up the plugin. However when saving the IssueM Setting I get the error message “Cannot load issuem”. There do not appear to be any messages in the debug.log file. If I create an issue and add articles to it when I try to open them I get “Page not found”. I’m using the Twenty Sixteen Theme. Any suggestions about how to fix this problem would be appreciated. I should add that the magazine is in the Members Only Area rather than the Home page.
    Thanks Nello Ostacchini

  • Ignore the above as the problem was fixed by deactivating all plugins followed by re-activation starting with IssueM
