    Hi

I’m having an issue when non members try to purchase something, it’s telling them that they need to be logged in.

I recently updated some of the plugins. I’m not sure if the two are related, but no other changes were made to the purchase page.

Under ‘Accounts and Privacy’, the tickbox for ‘Allow customers to place orders without an account’ is ticked. The tickbox for ‘Allow customers to log into an existing account during checkout’ is not ticked.

Clicking on ‘Add to cart’ with a guest user immediately goes to a page saying ‘You must be logged in to view this content’. The same option with a registered user works correctly.

Where should I start looking to fix the issue? Any help would be appreciated. 🙂

  • What’s a “guest user”? Are you logged out when you test?

What WooCommerce addons are you running?

What user/login/role related plugins are you running?

    Hi @mosaicat!

You must be logged in to view this content

This is most likely originating from your Paid Member Subscriptions plugin. I recommend reviewing if your products have been restricted by this plugin, and whether deactivating the plugin (temporarily) fixes the issue you’re having.

Let us know what that does, please!

    Thanks!
Deactivating it does seem to fix the issue. I’m able to get to the cart page without logging in.

When I edit the Cart page I see the content restriction section there, but I don’t see how to modify or remove it?

    Hi @mosaicat,

You’ll want to reach out to the developers of the Paid Member Subscriptions plugin for assistance here.

I’m guessing this is the correct forum to reach out to them – https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/paid-member-subscriptions/ unless you’re using a completely different product.

I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved since your issue is with that plugin.
