Cannot install a working copy of iThemes – Out of memory

    Hi I have used ithemes security for many years without any problems, however I am trying to install on a site and I get the message below, I them have to delete the plugin by ftp to make the admin area work again.

    Do you have a suggested fix please??

    Same problem here.

    PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 322961408) (tried to allocate 80 bytes) in /wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1780

    only when iSec is active.
    Disabling iSec makes this error to vanish.

    Not entirely sure but most likely this is caused by scheduled database backups. If possible activate the iTSec plugin and then in the Database Backups module disable the Schedule Database Backups setting.

    If the memory error prevents you from doing anything in the Dashboard there is the possibility to disable the Schedule Database Backups setting manually in the database. In order to access the database a tool like phpMyAdmin or likewise is required.

    Good point!

    As far as I’m concerned, this seems to have solved my memory issue.
    I’ll keep this DB backup inactive as I don’t really need it. Have other backups.

    Strange enough this also solved my issue with AdSense ads not displaying at homepage!
