Cannot inset canonical for my tag pages | WordPress.org

Hello,
As my tag pages are outranking my post pages or category pages, I would like to insert a canonical tag in the header of each tag page, pointing search engines towards the url I prefer to see ranking highest (post page or category page).
I can’t do this with SEO Ultimate, it seems. Please confirm this is not possible and if I need to use another plugin for this specific need.

oh just created a new thread about this. well yeah I got the same problem, so it would be great if you could fix it.

I think i am after the same solution. I have template pages with tabbed content on so the link url ends with /#tab-then a number, but the main page the content is on only shows the main page url. I am trying to assign each tab id a separate url for SEO purposes. i have tried link mask generator but to no avail.

Example pages:

main page: http://pbdrivertraining.co.uk/new/driver-training-courses-bristol/

tab url:http://pbdrivertraining.co.uk/new/driver-training-courses-bristol/#tab-1405842253432-0-2

Would like to change tab to have own url such as http://pbdrivertraining.co.uk/new/driver-training-courses-bristol/driver-cpc-courses

I hope this makes sense.
