• hi, a while ago. i mentioned my previous post while writing a new post in wordpress. It not only picked up the correct title of the previous post, but also added a comment in the comments section of the previous post with a hyperlink to the new post.

While trying to do the same thing today, I figured that I could not insert a hyperlink unless I highlight the text which is to be turned into hyperlink. It showed me a dialog box with links to all the previous posts. I selected the one I wanted to hyperlink to. Although it does work and I am able to convert the ‘highlighted’ text into hyperlink, however, it does not allow me to use the original title of the previous post. Also, there is no comment in the previous post comments box to refer to this new follow up post.

The hyperlink icon is inactive if there is no highlighted text.

I would like to add that I recently updated to 3.6.1 and then 3.7. I was running a much older version when the hyperlink-reference to old post work as expected. It was the latest version in October 2012.

    Thanks.
