Cannot get slideshow to update? (4 posts)

    Hey guys! Was hoping someone had a suggestion or maybe had experienced this problem before and point me in the right direction.

    I *was* using 3.7 but I just updated to 3.7.1 and am experiencing the same issue. I help run the website for kong screenprinting in Austin (www.kongscreenprinting.com) and we have run into some issues with getting the front page Slideshow to update. Note that this is NOT a plugin and this slideshow was installed using default shortcodes ( [gallery type="slideshow" id="#, #, #] )

    I was asked to update the slider on the front page to include one new slide, delete an older one, and rearrange the order in which they appeared. However instead all it did was add the new slide to the end of the slideshow (we wanted that one to be at the beginning) and did not reorder our slides, nor did it hide the one we had deleted. I have tried clearing cache, deleting the slideshow altogether then saving and readding, and nothing seems to work! We even tried to leave it alone over the weekend to see if the changes would process and nothing seemed to change.

    Even stranger when I just add in a normal gallery with only the four images we need, it still shows the image we have deleted in the old order. I know for a fact that what I'm editing exists in the shortcode because it did disappear completely whenever I would delete it, but upon reinserting a new gallery it stays the same.

    Does anyone have any suggestions? Note that I am working with a custom child theme created from Thematic. I did not create this theme myself but it hasn't caused us any issues like this before. Is there some sort of plugin I need to download that will reset the gallery history on a page or something (I don't even know if that's a "thing" or not). This is beyond me! D:!

    I just did- thank you for posting! But it doesn't look like it covered anything I am experiencing.

    I did do a little research and realize the feature I was working with was actually a WordPress.com feature that was synced into the site using Jet Pack. Unfortunately the plugin seems to have been deleted, meaning that might be the root of the problem. Going to reinstall and see whats up. If that doesn't work I suppose I should report an issue with the Jetpack plugin in WordPress 3.7.1?
