Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » Cannot get rid of updated database message

I upgraded to the latest version of Woocommerce 3.2.1, got the message that the database needed update and completed that. I received the message “WooCommerce data update complete. Thank you for updating to the latest version!”, clicked Dismiss and the message went away on that page. But every time I load a new page, I get the message back again. This has been happening for a number of days now.

How do I get rid of this message once and for all?

Please don’t say deactivate all your plugins to then dismiss the message. I can do it if I have to, but having to do it on a live site with constant traffic is going to hurt.

  • Here is a gist to hide the update notice:

Have in mind that is only patches the issue, which is that the notice was probably not dismissed correctly.

Thank you. Any idea how to dismiss the message correctly then?

Interesting. Now the message is gone. Perhaps there’s a number of days it’s shown before it finally disappears.

Hi @dcwebman, the message will always re-appear if the data update isn’t applied. Not doing so might also create some conflict as it won’t be in-sync with the latest WooCommerce version. Else, using Vankaa’s gist looks like a good workaround.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved. If you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
