Support » Plugin: W3 Total Cache » Cannot get rid of the upload folder errors

  • I am trying to install your plugin again (last time I couldnt get it work) but I am on 3.9.1 and using Cloudflare – WP Super Cache doesn’t seem to want to work so I want to use something.

    I am not on multisite.

    I get these errors

    The uploads directory is not available. Default WordPress directories will be created: /home/sitename/public_html/wp-content/uploads.

    The uploads path found in the database (/home/sitename/public_html/wp-content/uploads) is inconsistent with the actual path. Please manually adjust the upload path either in miscellaneous settings or if not using a custom path automatically to resolve the issue

    When I put debug into your file PluginView.php the function w3_upload_info() returns nothing.

    Even if I set the path in misc settings (like you say) OR update the wp_options table in the DB with the path for upload_path to /home/ OR /wp-content/uploads it doesn’t seem to get rid of both error messages.

    The folder exists so I don’t know understand what it is trying to compare my path with e.g it says “The uploads path found in the database (/home/sitename/public_html/wp-content/uploads) is inconsistent with the actual path”

    What is the actual path?

    If it’s not /wp-content/uploads then what should it be?

    I have gone into your http file and the code
    $upload_info = @wp_upload_dir();
    returns an error.

    The /wp-content/uploads folder already has 4 sub folders within it (months) but they only go up to 04 so I guess nothing is getting saved.

    I can see loads of debug in the source of my pages but nothing I do seems to turn it off.

    The button to “update the path automatically to resolve the issue” doesn’t do anything nor does any of the buttons to take the system out of preview/debug mode.

    I had to manually add your .htaccess rules to my file as well.

    Its good when you have automatic “fix” buttons when they don’t work or return an error message telling you what you need to do by hand it’s a bit hard to work out what to do without debugging all your code.

    Are these simple fixes?
