I have ran through the set up options many times.
I cannot see what I am doing wrong to enable my pop up
I have read every post regarding pop-ups but cannot see my problem
I would love someone to look at the back end for errors or conflicting settings.
    Forever grateful.
    Thank you!

    Hi @esskimojo

I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

The link that you shared (for “the page I need help with”) is a link to site’s back-end so we cannot access it (note: please do not ever share any access credentials here!). Let me then ask some questions to start with:

    1. if you look at the “Hustle -> Pop-ups” page, at popup list, your popup is already marked as “Published” and not “Draft”, right?

    2. If you there is any kind of cache on site/server, have you tried to clear it up?

    3. What are current settings of the popup in its “Visibility” and “Behavior” configuration?

As for that 3rd question: it would be great if you could share screenshots of these settings, it might be helpful.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hi Adam
    Thank you for your reply.

    1. Is listed as published

    2. I have cleared cache via Chrome browser, are there other places I need to clear cache?

    3. Visibility = no conditions set (should appear everywhere)
Behaviour = no schedule, no delay, no animations, do not show pop up after close until 2 days, disable page scrolling, no longer show after conversion.

Please let me know if you need anything else,

    Many thanks

I also researched cache and tried to clear from the server.

I installed the Plug In Litespeed Cache and activated.
I also went to my server (cpanel) and found they also use Litespeed and attempted to clear using both of these ends.

    Still nothing.

I have tried to research all angles of why the pop up isn’t working and can’t seem to figure it out, would still appreciate your help @wpmudev-support8 if you can.
    Many thanks

    Hi @esskimojo,

Thank you for providing us with this info.

I checked your homepage and could not see the popup but also no browser console errors. Inspecting the page, the popup elements are added but a CSS is being applied to it so it does not display: https://snipboard.io/Io59hk.jpg

Could you verify if there are some AMP styling settings or anything within the calypso dashboard from WordPress.com? Perhaps they might also be able to take a look to see what is setting this display to none?

Also, please double check in the Popup settings > Behavior > Popup trigger to make sure you have this on time trigger and set to 0 to it shows up right away with page load.

    Best,

Hi @wpmudev-support9 thank you so much for your suggestions to check styling in AMP.

Turns out it needed to be in ‘Transitional’ template mode, instead of ‘Original’, which is what it was in.

I have changed to Transitional and it works! I can now continue to refine the look and text, thanks again!

    Hi @wpmudev-support9

It was working for 10 minutes, then it has stopped again.

Something definitely seems in conflict and it did become visible temporarily when I changed the AMP settings.

sorry I’m going to have to reactivate this thread, as I still cannot get it to show.

One thing that is different, is I wasn’t able to previously even see the preview, but this now works fine and I have made my formatting updates.

All that is missing is it popping up on my site, both desktop and mobile.

Your help is much appreciated! Thank you.

    Hi @esskimojo

Thank you for checking AMP and for your response!

I’ve checked the site again and while I see that popup doesn’t show up, I’m still thinking that cache is still somehow involved in this, due to these two facts:

    – you noticed that while it initially worked, it stopped working after about 10 minutes without any changes being made to configuration (that suggests that it worked until cache got rebuilt)

    – and I also can see AMP-related styling references (as in CSS in browser inspector) even when checking it in full screen mode on desktop – which also suggests that something got cached a bit too much.

I know I’ve mentioned cached earlier on, before my colleague suggested checking AMP settings, and that wasn’t the case but now, after AMP changes initially fixed the issue – did you try to clear all possible cache (and possibly also clear any JS/CSS optimization if there is such) again?

    Kind regards,
    Adam
