 * Hi Folks,
    After activating WF I get the error:
 * > Wordfence could not get an API key from the Wordfence scanning servers when
   > it activated. You can try to fix this by going to the Wordfence “options” page
   > and hitting “Save Changes”. This will cause Wordfence to retry fetching an
   > API key for you. If you keep seeing this error it usually means your WordPress
   > server can’t connect to our scanning servers. You can try asking your WordPress
   > host to allow your WordPress server to connect to noc1.wordfence.com.
 * How can I tell why it is that the server is not able to connect to the WF server?
 * The scan activity log shows:
 * > Call to Wordfence API to resolve IPs failed: We received an error response
   > when trying to contact the Wordfence scanning servers. The HTTP status code
   > was [0] and the curl error number was [7] and the error from CURL was: couldn’t
   > connect to host
 * Which looks like cURL is working but unable to connnect…? What doe sit require
   to connect?
 * Thanks

 * In the Options section of Wordfence try the following…
 * **Click to test connectivity to the Wordfence API servers**
    This connects to
   noc1.wordfence.com and shows you the status of the connection attempt. It is
   a way to verify that your server is able to communicate with our scanning server
   on both port 80 and the secure port 443.
 * If this test fails, please open a support ticket with your hosting provider and
   ask them to ensure that your server is able to connect to noc1.wordfence.com
   on port 80 and port 443. They may have to allow your server to connect through
   a firewall or configure a proxy to allow this connection.

 * Thanks for the help! getting my webhost to setup the ports as required solved
   the issue 🙂

 * Test link results in
 * “CURL is not installed.”
 * Server
    $ curl –version curl 7.22.0
 * So what am I suppose to do now?
