• Hi, I cannot find the misty lake theme in my directory once I installed it….. I’ve just created a separate directory in dreamhost.com to and installed wordpress there. I then searched for and installed the Misty Lake theme onto my wordpress site.

I navigated to wp-content/themes directory via fetch (my ftp application) to install a child theme but there is no Misty Lake theme installed there. It comes up online so I suspect it has gone somewhere else…?

I’m rather new and basic at this so if someone could help me out that would be fantastic. The site: http://www.friendsoftheteanaway.org/wordpress

    Thank you!

Thanks for the fast reply… but I already have it installed WPyohi, I’m not finding it in my directory. 🙂

Oh sorry, I see that now. Where are you looking? Looks like you have WP in a sub-directory so it should be:

    wordpress
       wp-content
           themes
             misty-lake

Do you see other themes there?

No but I don’t see the sub-directory ‘wordpress’ I see ‘tamimea’. Where do you find the sub-directory ‘wordpress’?
    crazy crazy

I was going by your site URL:

    http://www.friendsoftheteanaway.org/wordpress

Ran into your current site – that’s a pretty place :)!

Yes it looks pretty, I have not been there. 😉

OK, where did my theme ‘misty lake’ parent theme go?

Do you see other themes there? Are you sure you are in the right place in the FTP?

Yes I see other themes there however I deleted them from my wordpress ‘manage themes’ page. So no I don’t believe I’m in the right place… or they are in the wrong place. Perhaps this is a queston I should be asking dreamhost.

Yeah, I’d check with them. Sounds like maybe there’s more than one WP install.

BTW, you should always keep at least one default theme (twentythirteen) in the themes folder – as it can be necessary for troubleshooting purposes.

Thanks. Luckily I do have one in there (sundance), but I did not know that. Good to know. I will check with D.H. now. ;-]
