    Hello

Today I configured Google Tag Manager and wanted to get rid of the analytics code that was previously uploaded by the GA Google Analytics plugin.

Unfortunately, after disabling the plugin, Google Tag Assistant still shows that gtag.js is on the page. The problem is that it does not show in the page code preview…. I can’t find the location of the gtag and I would like to remove it due to possible traffic reporting errors.

Please help, thank you in advance

    Glad to help.

When my plugin, GA Google Analytics, is deactivated or uninstalled, it is impossible for it to add any tracking code (or anything else). This is because the plugin must be active in order for it to add the tracking code.

Also, looking at your web page (source code), I find Google tracking code together with this message:

“Google Tag Manager snippet added by Site Kit”

So it looks like a plugin named “Site Kit” is adding the tracking code. There may be other active plugins involved as well. Best advice is to do some quick troubleshooting. I would be glad to provide a guide if it will be useful for you.
