# Cannot exclude categories

 * Hello,
 * I am trying to modify the default search form. When I select the categories to
   exclude, the search bar no longer works. No results display, as though it is 
   excluding everything on my site from the search.
 * I am using the theme MH Magazine.
 * Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

 * This can be the case that the excluded category is attached to every post therefore
   nothing is searched.
 * Could you please share me the screenshot of Default search form settings and 
   if possible also share me your site URL where you are using it so that I can 
   troubleshoot it?
 * For screenshots, you can simply provide a link to an image through Google Drive,
   Dropbox, screencast.com, [http://imgur.com/](http://imgur.com/) or other image
   service. 🙂
