# Cannot enter starting location

 * I am unable to enter a start point. Instead in that space there are a bunch of
   half gray circles and the message “Oops! Something went wrong!”. I also get the
   error code at the top of the page “Before adding the [wpsl] shortcode to a page,
   please don’t forget to define a start point on the settings page. Dismiss”
 * I have had to manually geocode each location that I add as that is not working
   automatically either. Any suggestions?

 * Did you set the [API keys](https://wpstorelocator.co/document/create-google-api-keys/)
   for Google Maps on the settings page? A notice should be visible to tell you 
   this as well.
 * If you did set them, then check the [browser](https://wpstorelocator.co/document/create-google-api-keys/#troubleshooting)
   [console](https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors#Step_3:_Diagnosis)
   for any Google Maps related errors that explain why it doesn’t work.

 * I am having the same issue, but it started before I even got my API keys.Worked
   fine while I was initally setting up but now, a few days later, the half circles
   appeared. I did go and get the API creds for Search and browser but that did 
   not fix it
