# Cannot edit thumbnails

 * WP 3.2.1
    NextGen-Gallery 1.8.2
 * When I want to edit thumbnails manually a window appears.
    On the right I can
   see the current thumbnail, and on the left there SHOULD (and used to) be a miniature
   version of the whole picture to crop a thumbnail from.
 * After the last upgrade of WP and NG (I upgraded them both), the miniature on 
   the left doesn’t appear anymore.
 * I can only see that there is an image missing, with url like: [http://MYSITE.COM/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/nggshow.php?pid=1118&width=350&height=350](http://MYSITE.COM/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/nggshow.php?pid=1118&width=350&height=350)
 * It seems that the nggshow.php doesn’t generate the miniature properly.
    Anybody
   had similar problems?

 * I’ve got the same problem after the previous upgrade of NG.
    But still didn’t
   find any solution.

 * Just checked two things:
 * – disabling all plugins except NG didn’t help
    – changing theme to default didn’t
   help
 * so it’s not a conflict with other plugins or theme.

 * I found a temporary solution: **downgrade to 1.7.4**
 * Now editing thumbnails works again…
    Unfortunately when I re-upgrade to 1.8.2
   it is broken again.
 * I hope this information is of any use…
