• Resolved MMRH

I’ve updated WordPress to v 4.1 and also updated Frontier post to latest version but now I cannot edit my posts anymore using the edit button.
I’ve tried enabling the option “Allow users to change status from published” and also the option “Allow edit posts with comments” but that does not help either. Any idea? Thanx!

You might want to increase Max age in days to allow edit of post

If you set it to 9999 you should be on the safe side

Can you add a link to a screenshot of your Frontier Post settings and a screenshot of the My Post list ?

    Hi finnj,
    here it is:
    Frontier Post settings
    My post list

By the way, a comment on a post can be edited aftwerwards.

are you using your own template form for the list of posts ?

    Thread Starter MMRH

    (@mmrh)

    Nope, I’m using default template.
    I’m using Delivery-lite as theme.
The edit button points to http://<mysite>/?page_id=18&task=edit&postid=<postid number>
But when clicked it turns back to the list of posts.

When I deactivate Frontier Post I’m able to edit, so looks like the problem is within the plugin.

    Hi,

I can not understand why you cant edit posts.

If you want to edit posts from the admin interface, you can disable Redir Edit

Have you tried to go back to Frontier Post 2.6.1, it should also work with wp 4,1

    Hi finnj,
I’ve tried v 2.6.1 but no succes either. It got even worse when I tried updating afterwards, the plugin failed to activate (wrong header message).
I also tried to deactivate all plugins and activate one by one, but when activating Frontier Post, the edit function failed.
If you have any other idea, please let me know else thanx for your help anyway.

    Hi,

I am not sure exactly what your issue is..

Can you try and explain a bit more detailed – What user profile are you using etc.

I have uploaded a new version 3.0.7 – I realized that messages why a user can add/update/delete a post was not showing, that is the only thing changed from version 3.0.6

Can you try and install this version, and see if you get a message saying why you cant edit a post ?

If this doesn’t fix your issue, can you try and revert to one of the standard wp themes twenty….

Nobody else is seeing this issue, and I have tried to make a freas install of Frontier post on a brand new WordPress, and no issues.

    Hi finnj,
I tried with user profiles with different rights (admin and user), result is the same. What I discovered is that, once Frontier Post is activated, the edit link in the post points to the post list page, in my case:
http://<mysite>/?page_id=18&task=edit&postid=869 while page ID 18 is actually the list of posts. If I change the link to: http://<mysite>/?page_id=58&task=edit&postid=869, (note the different page ID) it opens the actual post and I’m able to edit.
I’ve tried to find out why but so far no luck.

I will try 3.0.7 anyway. Thanx

    Hi finnj,
I’ve solved the issue! I removed the page with the Frontier Post tag and recreated. Removed page from menu and re-added; Bingo!
Thanx for your time and help!
