# Cannot Edit Permalink

 * I cannot remove the “-2” in the permalink. When I try and modify the permalink
   from bolt-shackle to us-bolt-shackle it keeps adding the “-2” after us-bolt-shackle?

 * Hi,
    that shouldn’t depend on the plugin, once you’ve cloned the post it’s not
   called by the function that checks for an already existing permalink. Are you
   sure you don’t have a post with us-bolt-shackle as permalink, not even in the
   trash bin?
