We asked Kadence to integrate Bogo into the Kadence Pro theme.
PS: Kadence also tested the issue of not being able to edit a page, and they also found Bogo to be the issue (independent from our test).

Where can we see the website in question?
https://test.basbuis.eu/
I have a link for login available; I cannot post that here…
Do you see the issue with the default theme (Twenty Twenty-Five)?
No, that’s fine. But Twenty Twenty-Five is an FSE theme, so that might be different.
I’m not familiar with Kadence, but if the theme is based on its original page builder, it’s no wonder that Bogo is not interoperable with it. A WordPress plugin is essentially designed based on WordPress’s native functionalities, in this case, the Gutenberg-based block editor.
The theme appears to be an instance of vendor lock-in traps.
Kadence is just one of the (more popular) block themes. Not FSE, more like a hybrid theme. The builder used is just the native Gutenberg editor with both native blocks + Kadence blocks.
Thank you for the information. I didn’t know that. If it’s the native Gutenberg editor, Bogo should work with it.
Your case might be caused because you don’t have a corresponding translation of some part used in the template.
Hmm. I just tested this.
- Created a new page
- Response: “You attempted to edit an item that doesn’t exist. Perhaps it was deleted?”
I didn’t even get to the new page… blocked immediately.
Which languages are installed, and which one is the site language? You can check it in Languages > Language Packs.
My test setup: Dutch and English.
KadenceWP found the same bug: English, and I don’t know what other language they used.
I can provide you with access to the test installation as an Admin if you like, so you can see it for yourself.

Please do not do that. It’s prohibited here.
The support of KadenceWP tested BOGO with another theme; Astra. Same issue.
They think it might be an incompatibility issue of BOGO with all classic / hybrid themes.
When editing a template, the message I got was “You attempted to edit an item that doesn’t exist. Perhaps it was deleted?”
Which template is it exactly? Can we see an instance page of it on the site? Do you have other templates that you can edit without the warning message?
Sorry, my mistake. It is just about a normal page. Whenever I try to edit a page with BOGO active, it shows the message: “You attempted to edit an item that doesn’t exist. Perhaps it was deleted?”
Sometimes, after 3-5 refreshes it goes to the block editor, but typically, it fails totally. And when, occasionally, it does show the block editor after 3-5 refreshed, it shows the same error message when I insert a block and try to save.
- Whenever I attempt to edit an existing page.
- When I create a new page.
It shows this message.
It is tested now on the Kadence theme and the Astra theme (both ‘classic’ block themes, not FSE).
