Cannot edit or assign an author when creating a 'blog'

Hi there

I have used author spotlight and co author plus for a while now and I love it. It worked perfectly for our company blog when creating posts by multiple members of the team.
Now we have changed how we are blogging on our website, and rather than uploading ‘posts’ each post is now technically uploaded as a ‘blog’. Most of the functionality has remained the same but I cannot see the option when creating the blog, to custom assign an author for that piece of content. You can still see the author on the front end though,and it lists it as the person who was logged on and physically submitted the post. This isn’t ideal for our company blog as much of the content is uploaded by other people on the authors behalf.

Is there a way for us to be able to customise the authors. when creating a ‘blog’?
