Cannot edit homepage

I was trying to add a content slider to the main (home) page of my site. I tried some that were widgets and some plugins where I had to add a line of code to the home.php file in the editor. Now them home page is all messed up and no matter what I do I cannot get it to change at all. I tried changing themes to rule out a theme issue and all pages on my site change to the new them except the home page. I change back and deleted my database and restored it from a back from before the issue happened. All other pages changed to previous versions but not the home page. I went to the widgets section of my page and removed all the widgets from Top Left, Top Right, and bottom but they are all still showing up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
