Cannot Edit Home page with Elimentor

    Hello,

    I am using Enigma theme. I want to add some custom element on Home page with the help of Elementor. But whenever I click on ‘Edit with Elementor’ on home page, it is saying

    “Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call ‘the_content’ function in current template, in order for elementor to work on this page.”

    But whenever I add the_content function in Enigma theme php file. I see old theme website layout which i was using earlier and not currently activated Enigma theme layout. 🙁

    Kindly Help.

    Hello,

    Go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customizer -> Theme Options -> Theme General Options -> here you can see Show Front Page options -> please uncheck this option and save.

    Now go to Pages -> edit page which you select for home-page -> select Elementor Full Width template and save.

    Now you can edit your home page with Elementor click on ‘Edit with Elementor’ and save.

    Thanks for reply. I tried what you have suggested, but after unchecking the option I see old theme website layout which i was using earlier. It was in some other theme. I want to have elementor with enigma theme.

    What I am trying to say is….
    My current website with enigma theme (and Show Front page CHECKED) is looks like this

    Now If I unchecked ‘Show Front page’ , it looks like this. This is how my old website (before enigma theme) was looking.

    So basically image slider on home completely changes and I see old look.

    What can be done? Kindly help.

    Hello,

    Edit the page that you select as a home-page -> select Elementor Full Width template -> now you can edit your home-page with elementor and save the page.

    Yes. I have followed your steps. Now I am able to edit with elementor. Only thing is all elements of enigma theme are gone on that page. I had to create slider like enigma theme using elementor.
    I just wanted to remove portfolio element and add another element using elementor. I did not want to touch rest of the elements.
