• I’m having problems editing the footers with a wordpress.org site.

I was just recently hired to make some changes to a site that has already been built.

I typically code sites from scratch and try to stay away from site builders when I can.

The site is built using the Divi Builder. I’m not familiar with Divi and anything I’ve done involving WordPress in the past has been done with their default editor.

Anyway, the issue I’m running into now is that I need to edit some links in the footers of the pages.

I cannot figure out how to do this. I do not see any option to do this on the visual builder. From what I can tell this appears to be something that needs to be done from a separate section of the WordPress dashboard. However, I do not see this anywhere in the menu.

    I don’t see a plug-ins or appearance tab either.

My guess would be this is some sort of permissions issue.

I’m dealing with a client who has a separate administrator who hosts and manages the site.

Supposedly my role is set to “administrator.” However, I cannot verify this anywhere in the WordPress dashboard, and as I mentioned I am missing tabs that I believe should be available to the admin role.

Am I missing the way to properly edit the footers or is this indeed a permissions issue?

I was told my role was assigned as administrator, but I see there is also super administrator. I do not see my role listed anywhere in my WordPress dashboard. I checked the profile tab. How can I check for sure to verify what my role is?

How should I approach this? Is there another workaround for how I can edit the footers? I will likely not be given access to the hosting server to edit the files directly, so that is not an option. Do I need admin / super admin role to do this?
