When I try to delete this plugin using the “Delete” link on this plugin within the WP plugin dashboard, I get the following error:

PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 79 bytes) in /var/www/domain.com/wp-includes/class-wp-post.php on line 242, referer: https://www.domain.com/wp-admin/plugins.php

I checked the file permissions on the server and everything appears to be OK.

    Please help.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Not sure what is causing this. Try again. It might be some temporary server lag.

Thanks so much for the quick reply. I followed your suggestion and still get the same error regarding memory. I then contacted my hosting provider and they suggested that we simply remove the plugin folder and the files from our server.

If we manually remove the plugin folder and all its files (without using the “Delete” link on the plugin dashboard, will we damage anything else? In other words, is it safe for us to simply manually delete the Sassy Social folder and its files from the server?

Thanks so much for your help.
