Support » Plugin: Customize Feeds for Twitter » Cannot customize and pointless as a plugin

  • This widget uses the widget ID instead of the API key and thus your only option is the generic Twitter iFrame. Since you have to create the ID from your Twitter page, and while getting that ID Twitter gives you the embed code to this exact same widget, I fail to see the point of this plugin at all except to add bloat to your site.

Had this plugin provided some type of customization options then it could be worth it but since this just returns the same iFrame from Twitter you can paste the code yourself in for, just skip this plugin and try something else for more options.

NOTE: Plugin Author has also given this a 5* rating themselves and so the rating is already skewed. Bad form.

Making a free plugin and it’s tutorial takes too much time and efforts.

After plugin used by user and post a negative rating & feedback make the desperation for the all work you did.

Our aim is help to non technical user to use social media plugin functionality with few and easy steps on his site. Non technical user don’t know about what’s iFrame, HTML, PHP, programming or something.

He only knows what is the plugin, How to install & use is via easy tutorials. Hope you understand the feeling. 🙂

    Thanks

I realize this rather unfair one star rating is over a year old, but in case someone stumbles upon it, I’d like to add a point in the plugin’s defense.

Personally, I’m glad I only have to provide a Twitter ID — this makes it convenient for those of us developing WordPress sites for CLIENTS. I don’t have to log into the client’s Twitter account in order to obtain an API key, nor do I have to give instructions to a semi computer-illiterate client who doesn’t want to give me access to their Twitter account login.

Honestly, the user couldn’t have just taken one star off the rating for this trivial kvetch? Jeez.
