Cannot create a user with an empty login name.

    I’m getting this error:

    Cannot create a user with an empty login name.

    Brand new test site, default wp theme, no other plugins beside PMPro, I’ve setup all PayPal Express settings, an I’m using the PMPro checkout page without being logged in ( customers should register only trough this checkout page ).

    Please let me know if you can help with anything.

    Would you mind sending through a link to this test site so I may recreate and debug this issue for you? (No login details needed).

    It’s safe to assume you are running the latest version of Paid Memberships Pro and WordPress on the twentysixteen theme?

    Can you make sure that your host/server supports PHP sessions?

    Hi Jason, thanks for stepping in, i’ve added a small piece of code to my theme functions file to check if the sessions starts and indeed they do, so the server clearly supports them:

    Hi @sdevro,

    I tested your checkout and it seems fine to me I used the username ‘test1234’ and it redirected me to PayPal checkout page.

    Are you able to get to the PayPal checkout page?

    Would you mind creating a free level so I can bypass the PayPal checkout 🙂

    The problem appears when you are redirected back from paypal, after you pay, at the point where the wp user should be created.

    You cannot reproduce this with a free level, if you can test my 1$ test level with a real paypal i will refund it.
