    Hello,

I am struggling with the connection between the search console and Yoast.

    1) I verified my site first with a CDN on the Search Console. And it was all good and verified.

    2) Then I downloaded Yoast in wordpress but during configuration it did not ask me anything about the Search Console.

    3) So, I went to read different topics and I added the meta info in the header. Nothing happened.

    4) Then I pasted the key inside “webmaster” tab under Google but still nothing is happening. I am really stuck.

It does not show any profile and it does not show the “Search Console” tab under SEO either.

    Could anyone help me please?

I already went through the steps given in Yoast support.

    Thank you in advance.

    Angélique

The Yoast SEO plugin does offer the feature to verify your site with Google Search Console, and this can be done in the plugin under SEO>General Webmaster Tools. We also have a guide on this here: https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/add-website-google-search-console/

Regarding the Search Console area of the SEO Premium plugin, this area of the plugin previously was able to connect to your Google Search Console account and retrieve any crawl errors your site experienced so that they could be addressed without having to log into Google Search Console separately. However, recently Google discontinued it’s crawl errors API that the plugin used to connect and retrieve this information so we are no longer able to display this information. We also have more information on this at the following link: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/google-webmaster-tools-not-displaying-crawl-issues/ and https://yoast.com/where-did-my-search-console-errors-go/

Thank you very much for your answer.

I have the free version of Yoast(it is just that I am following a course online so I imagine it was discontinued after this course).
So basically it’s normal if I do not see “Search console” under the Yoast menu on the left sidebar of my wordpress dashboard?

About the Search Console site verification through Webmaster tools, I have done this but nothing changed on Yoast, that is to say I do not have any profile appearing and this is my main concern: to be sure that they have been linked properly.

Is it normal then (after verifying my site and entering the verification code under Webmasters’ tools) that nothing changes and that I do not have notification neither profile?

Thank you very much again !!!

The verification code you added under Admin > SEO > General > Webmaster Tools (tab) adds a code to the front end of your site hidden in the source code. You will not see any changes in the backend admin area.

To verify that your site and Google Search Console are connected, please follow the steps under the heading ‘PS: How to check your verification tag’ in this article.

As for the named ‘Search Console’ menu item, that no longer exists in the current Yoast SEO plugin.
