# Cannot connect WP.com after installation

 * After installing the Jetpack plugin, I tried to connect to my WP.com account,
   but I got the following error message (translated from Chinese, so exact wording
   may be different from English version):
 * “使用 Jetpack 你的網站需要公開訪問：”
    (Translated: “To use Jetpack, your web
   site is required to be publicly accessible”)

 * Jetpack uses your site’s xmlrpc.php file to communicate with your site, so when
   we’re unable to access it, you’ll see that error.
 * Checking out your site, it looks like your server is blocking access or otherwise
   having some type of failure. Can you contact your hosting provider for assistance?
