# Cannot clear WF cache

 * Getting errors trying to clear the cache, I deleted the lock file and the directory
   is set at 777.
 * Now I’m getting permission denied errors.
 * Can I delete everything in the wfcache folder manually?
 * How to I fix this error?

 * Yes, you can delete everything manually in the wfcache folder using FTP. Try 
   that, then disable cache, and reenable cache. See if that helps.

 * Same problem – I cant delete the files in FTP or using cPanel file manager so
   I think it is a server issue.
 * Will contact the host.

 * It was an ‘ownership issue’ for that folder.
 * A few similar problems like this have cropped up since the core update to 4.4
