    Hi,
After updating to v3.0.1 and some issues with the migration resolving, there are now over a hundred cron events left behind that did not appear to complete. [I use the WP-Crontrol plugin to check events.] Unfortunately, as they are re-running and not completing they are causing cpu usage issues on my hosting.

    They are the following (hooks):

    ta_cron_tapro_notice
    ta_cron_request_review

The first is running at approx. 2 min intervals and not completing. I’ve tried deleting them via the options table in the database, deactivated / reinstalled the plugin, cleared the cache etc however I have unable to remove them.

Could you please advise as to how I can resolve this?
    Thanks
    Phil

  • Hi Phil,

Not sure why those crons are running at 2 minute intervals, did you trigger them manually with WP Crontrol maybe?

The first is a single event cron scheduled for 48 hrs after activation.

The second is a single event cron scheduled for 14 days after activation.

Can you try to set the “ta_request_review_response” option in the wp_options table to “yes”

And the “ta_show_tapro_notice” option in the wp_options table to “no”.

Then, if they haven’t removed themselves, use WP Crontrol to remove those crons and they should show up anymore.

I’m sorry about this, this is the first we’ve heard of these crons playing up, there must be something unique about your setup.

If you’re still having issues after the above please write into support and we will remedy this ASAP for you.

    Cheers,

    Hi Josh,
    Thanks for the reply.

I hadn’t triggered them manually. I first realised there was an issue when I logged back into the site and the migration notice was still showing. When I went to settings->help it appeared the data migration was running & not completing…this was prior to your updates 3.0.1 and 3.0.2.

Anyhow, updating to the latest version & having removed the ‘cron’ option in the database seems to have worked (eventually). The outstanding jobs have all cleared and the plugin is functioning just fine. As you say, maybe just a setup issue on this particular site that created an anomaly. (I’ve just updated my others sites with no problem – so no replication to show you as an example)

    Consider this resolved.
    Thanks again,
    All the best,
    Phil

    Hi Phil,

Phew, that is great news, thanks for letting me know!

If you do have any issues with the other sites just let us know 🙂

    Cheers,
    Josh
