Support » Plugin: Jquery Validation For Contact Form 7 » Cannot change error messages

    Hi!

I tried the free version of “JQuery Validation for CF” to validate IBAN fields. It works, which is good.

However, I noticed that some JavaScript in this plugin overrules all the default CF7 error messages and I read on the plugin page that you have to buy the pro version of “JQuery Validaton for CF7” to customize these messages.

So, I guess the free version “JQuery Validation for CF7” in fact deliberately disables the option in “Contact Form 7” to change error messages, unless you buy the pro version of “JQuery Validaton for CF7”.

    Is that true?

    Kinds regards,

    Jessess

I own the Pro – happy me – and I can confirm, that you can edit the error messages in there.

    Thanks KraeMit,

But that doensn’t solve my problem. I would still like to know if it’s true that the free version effectively disables the functionality in CF7 to change error messages.

    @jessess ,

No our plugin doesn’t block error msg from CF7. Only it adds above layer of validation to Contact Form 7. However, you can’t show both the error msg of CF7 and our plugin at the same time. As our validation is based on Javascript and CF7 validation is based on PHP. So only when Javascript validation passes and CF& validation fails, then only CF7 error is shown.

    Thanks

    Hello!

    But the question is …
    the error messages,
can they be translated with the lite version?
or is it only possible with the Pro version?

In my experience, it’s not possible with free version, a shame!

    A shame‘ ???

Why in heaven this is a shame? It’s all good!

With all the necessary respect : Calm down. If you need this additional feature and you are not able to programm it yourself, just pay this few bucks for this excellent piece of software-problem-solver, which has been developed in many hours, using knowledge collected out of many years and be just that happy!
