 * we are not able to block a custom pattern hostname such as *.your-server.de.
The Block Visitors Matching This Pattern button never activates after putting
the hostname in the field. this has always worked for us in the past when we
blocked this hostname on our other sites.

 * Hi [@soolee](https://wordpress.org/support/users/soolee/), thanks for getting
   in touch.
 * Many cases of Wordfence buttons not becoming active are down to Javascript conflicts
with another plugin, or perhaps local browser caching, and/or caching plugins.
I would first try logging into your site again on a different browser to your
usual choice to see if the behavior is different. If the button works, clearing
your default browser’s cache should rectify the issue.
 * However, if this has been caused by a recent plugin version update, also clear/
purge any caching plugins in your site or hosting control panel to force the
site to load the latest file versions.
 * If neither approach above works, disable all plugins except for Wordfence. It
is advisable to switch to a default theme such as Twenty Twenty-Two as well.
The button should now be active when you provide input, so re-enabling your plugins
and theme one-by-one should make it clear when the issue returns. Javascript
issues with other plugins can cause scripts to break or prevent our files from
loading afterwards causing the kind of behavior you’re seeing with the button
   state.
 * Let me know how you get on!
 * Peter.
