I have a fresh install of WordPress 2.2, and have a not-so-slight problem. I have several categories created, and they show up fine on Manage -> Categories or when editing an item on the Blogroll. However, when trying to create or edit a post, the only category listed in the box is Uncategorized.

I don’t see this on my other sites running 2.2, just this one. I’ve tried disabling the plugins that I’m using (Akismet, bbPress Integration, Category Access, PJW Mime Config, WordPress.com Stats), to no effect. I haven’t edited any of the source files, either.

Any suggestions for what the problem might be?

Categories for blogroll and posts are different. If you have assigned a category to your blogroll then you won’t be able to use it for posts. You’ll need to create the same category again and then use that for posts.

Really? Argh. That’s a pain, especially since the Manage Categories screen implies otherwise.
