[resolved] Cannot Add Images + Edit Permalink (7 posts)

    Posted 3 years ago #

    I am unable to "add media" when I click on the button now can I edit the "permalink" for particular posts. However I can add media and edit permalink on PAGES. Adding media i.e., images etc to Media section from my computer is not a problem.

    I've done the following so far which is :
    - Deactivated all plugins
    - Refreshed my plugin folder
    - Also reset phpMyAdmin on Cpanel
    - Checked for "define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false );" which already exists at the bottom of my wp-config.php page as displayed here:

    /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

    /** WordPress absolute path to the WordPress directory. */
    if ( !defined('ABSPATH') )
    define('ABSPATH', dirname(__FILE__) . '/');

    define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false );
    /** Sets up WordPress vars and included files. */
    require_once(ABSPATH . 'wp-settings.php');

    So whats next. I am not a coder or very techy minded so please give advise accordingly please.

    Also on my website I cannot view the image sliders on top of the my pages that are suppose to have them. http://www.rawfit.co.uk

    Please can anyone give me any further advise as so what I can do.

    Baby Steps please.

    Thank you.

    It appears that right now you don't have all plugins deactivated nor the default theme active. Can you do that again? Also be sure that any caches (browser, site, server) are cleared.

    Doublecheck this thread to make sure you don't have any of the known issues and check for javascript problems:

    I have just found that "Insert into post" (after clicking "Add media") doesn't work if you have a Lightbox plugin installed. If you have a lightbox deactivate it and try again.

    @kevjon I do not have light box plugin.

    @WPyogi I tried what you suggested deactivated all 3 plugins (Enhanced Text Widget, SEO Ultimate, Simple Image Widget) and activated the default Twenty Twelve theme. It started to work. But the when I changed it to the Actme theme back to square one.

    When I click:
    Edit PERMALINK - http://www.rawfit.co.uk/wp-admin/post.php?post=6086&action=edit#post_name

    Add Media - http://www.rawfit.co.uk/wp-admin/post.php?post=6086&action=edit#

    I will be checking the thread that you have posted but in the mean time if you guys have any further advise, I'd be grateful.

    Wait so are you saying that it works in twentytwelve but not in your theme? If so, that's a theme issue and you will need to go to the developer for help.

    Yes that is right its happening with my current Actme Theme.

    I'll contact the developer.

    Thank you.

    I have not been offered any help at all from the developer to I am forced to purchase another theme and upload it. Hope this will sole the problem.

    Thank you for your help.
