Cannot add Areas

    Hi,

    Just installed the Free Version to test it out, but unfortunately it’s not working:

    I can’t add any area as the button “Add another Area” is not shown nor is the first initial “Clickable Area #1” shown in the Hotspots Area section.

    Any advise?

    Hi,

    and sorry for my ignorance. Should have provided a bit more background :-/

    I only get one Javascript-Error:
    WebSocket connection to 'wss://public-api.wordpress.com/pinghub/wpcom/me/newest-note-data' failed:

    Even with option “&da_disable_third_party_js=1”.

    There are also no missing ressources shown.

    It‘s hosted on a privat webspace.

    It doesn’t seem like that error is related to Draw Attention then. Instead, let’s have you continue troubleshooting since this issue is likely being caused by a theme or plugin conflict.

    We recommend that you do these on a staging site if possible or make sure to create a backup on your live site before trying these steps.

    1) See if it’s a plugin conflict with Plugin Detective – https://wordpress.org/plugins/plugin-detective/
    2) See if it’s a theme conflict by switching to a default WordPress theme.

    Plugin Detective has a process to help you quickly identify which plugin might be causing the problem. Once you start Plugin Detective, just mark Draw Attention and Plugin Detective as a “required plugin” for the test and navigate to the page where you’re having issues. Plugin Detective will deactivate all the other plugins on your site and you can confirm that Draw Attention is working properly.

    Thanks for the guidance!

    I managed to identify the rot cause: The plugin “EverlightBox” was causing the issues. Once deactivated, your DrawAttention is working like a charm!
