Under options I chose to move my blog from cindysoto.com to cindysoto.com/personal.

I then got a 500 error message. Now it comes up with no format and won’t allow me to login to change it back.

  • Did you move the wp files to /personal or did you just start changing options you didn’t know what did?

Jeremy, thanks for answering. I would really like to find someone technical to partner with.

    To answer your question:

Since I can’t get in, I don’t remember exactly. There were two lines and I filled them both in. I think one asked if I wanted to move the blog, and the other if I wanted to move WordPress?

Right now I can’t even login or post or anything! I hope there is a way to fix this…

    Thank-you whooami,

Just one question, do I download phpmyadmin? I’m new here.

left hand side: phpmyadmin >> where is it

    Thank-you whooami,

I followed all the steps so the url is now correct. I hoped that would totally resolve it, but now I’m getting this message:

    Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at p41mysql59.secureserver.net. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

I spoke to the hosting Co. and they say it’s not them. What does it mean that the wp-config.php file is incorrect?

Help! I may have made it worse. I deleted my .htaccess file because the last update was today at the time the whole thing went wacky.

    Can I upload another one?
