the plugin is probably incompatible with your version of wordpress. go into your hosting control panel on the server and navigate to the wordpress plugins folder and delete that plugin from there. you should be able to access your admin area again.

always check version compatibility and the last modified date of a plugin before you upload it.

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/daily-lessons/

last updated in may 2011. even though it says compatible up to version 3.1.4 it’s over a year out of date.

Yes, using an FTP tool such as FileZilla or your host provided File
Manager, rename the errant plugin’s folder name in wp-contents/plugins to old-pluginfoldername. Run site.

    Thanks for your response!!

My hosting control panel is with host papa, I can access wordpress through Fantastico – but I only have the option to remove wordpress. I don’t think I am able to edit within wordpress and remove plugins.

    Is there another way round?

I will definitely take more care before installing plugins in future!!
