Using the hide backend feature and read the changelog before updating to 6.3.0
but now I just can’t log in to the admin dashboard at all. Have been locked out and now threatened that my ISP will be notified if I persist in trying to log in.
    Not ideal.

  • Hey Lawriem1,

What’s happening when you try to login? Do you get an error, redirect or something else?

Can you share a screenshot of the message you’re getting regarding notifying your ISP? This isn’t a message we display.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

    Hi Gerroald
I just tried to log in again to get the screenshot and was logged in.
Is it possible that after upgrading there is short period when the login credentials are not recognised?
    Thanks as always

    Hey Lawriem1,

Thanks for the update, and happy to hear it!

The update will not invalidate your credentials. I’m not sure if you were getting locked out or not, but the message regarding alerting your ISP didn’t come from iThemes Security. It sounds like you might have had some issues that coincidentally coincided with the update.

    Thanks!

    Gerroald

Hi we are getting the same error so what is the good of a security plugin that make your site insecure cause you have to turn it off the access your admin. Really wish you guy would do more testing before releasing a plugin that does not work.

I’m having similar issues. I am attempting to login to my admin account and it won’t accept my credentials. Upon submitting for login I’m redirected back to the login page with my credentials cleared from the fields. It redirects to a url that adds in this after.php ?itsec-hb-token= and then my slug for the hidebackend feature

The same happens to me, I can’t access to my block and have the same message that says wp-login.php?itsec-hb-token=

Well two updates later whenever we turn on the plugin all access to the wp-login.php goes away. What is going on with this bug? It was working fine prior to 6.40 after that no good. 🙂 Love to hear what the fix is?
