I have installed wordpress on a machine running on Windows 7. It just suddenly stopped working. It was running for 3 months and I don’t know what was wrong with it.
I am using WAMP as my server. Can you please help me? I did not install anything new when the wordpress site stopped working.

  • Is the WAMP server still running or did it stop?

Yes. Its running. I have really no idea what was the cause of the problem.

I would suggest restarting WAMP and see if that helps. I had a similar issue happen to me on MAMP and restarting it fixed the issue.

Yup. I have restarted it a couple of times. I would like to try re install WAMP but that would affect my site. I have a back-up and I’m afraid that I would start from scratch again.

Hmm, interesting. I don’t know what it could be then, unless something strange happened with your wp-config.php file or database.

yes…its very weird. There might be other programs which altered WAMP but I’m sure of it I did not install something new.

I think this is very weird because the computer was affected by a virus. It deleted some files which might be essential to WAMP and wordpress.
