• Hello good Morning. First of all, congratulate you on the tremendous complement you are developing.

My name is Jonás and I am from the Canary Islands. I recently did most of the Spanish translation for you. I wanted to help you make this add-on grow as much as possible because you deserve it.

I never participated in a WordPress development but I am interested in seeing how I can contribute something. I am a Frontend developer. HTML CSS and JS. Although I come from Spaghetti West with Jquery, I am doing a modern JS course.

My intention would be to see how they work and if I can contribute something if I feel safe, I would write my code for your impressive complement.

I am looking for your Slack but I can’t find it. Could you pass a link?

And now I’d like to ask if you intend to support column management for new custom fields. There is a plugin for this purpose (Admin Columns) but if you intend to put this functionality in your plugin it would be a great administrative feature.

And again, thank you very much for this great complement that makes life so easy and gives us time to go out for ice cream.

Now I have more life thanks to you. A hug

  • The old invite link I have to Slack didn’t just work but the link I have to sign-in for it dit. That link is: Slack Link

Also the Trello board he has set up is awesome. It breaks up and shows things into bug reports, feature requests, work in progress, etc. That link is: Trello Link

Hope that helps and work for you

    Hello,

Sorry for the late answer! I was very busy with the latest update, and had to take some rest after its release (haven’t slept much since few weeks).

Thanks for the words of encouragement! You’ll find the Slack link in the Readme “Links” section. Here is the link of the invitation: https://join.slack.com/t/wpacf/shared_invite/enQtODc2MjczMzM3NzQ1LTQxNmY2ZGY3OTU2NDkxNTliYmNhMmY1NDMwZGM4NmYxNzgwZTI5MDUzMDFlMGQ5YzcwNDc0ZWM0MDVmODI4NmI I’m always connected there, so feel free to come say hi 🙂

I’m working alone on this plugin, but I have a close circle of developers which often submit bug reports/feature requests as they use it on daily basis. Regarding “direct contribution” like “feature implementation”, I haven’t setup any automated pipe for the moment.

The best way would be to use Github, as you can easily fork/pull request stuff there. Here is the Github repo: https://github.com/acf-extended/ACF-Extended

For advanced stuff we will probably have to discuss about it before merging, but it is totally doable!

About the “Admin Columns” features. Well, I use this plugin and it has some many cool things (like export and stuff). However, the more I use, the more I’m not a big fan of how they “do it”. I’ll probably add something similar in the future in ACF Extended (no ETA, I’m just thinking about it). But I don’t think there will be 100% parity with Admin Colymns, because of the plethora of features they got.

    Have a nice day!

    Regards.

Do not worry. I understand perfectly, I am working on my first plugins 😛

    10,000 already, wow.

As for columns option, I agree with you and it is very good plugins and something complex to do. The idea is not to reinvent the wheel, rather what you say, something basic that allows showing, or not, the fields generated for post type for example.

If users want something more complex, they will always have that plugin as an option and very good.

I will review the Github documentation. I saw that in another post you commented the idea to another user who wants to minimize the css and js of the forms. It could be a good practice for me at home.

    Greetings and thanks again
