    Hello,

I can’t find the way to add podcasts with CLASSIC EDITOR.

Can your plugin only be used with Gutenberg editor?

    Hi there,

Thanks for considering podcast player for your website.

For classic editor, you can use podcast player shortcodes. You can simply copy and paste the shortcode in the editor (html section). To know more about podcast player shortcode, kindly refer https://vedathemes.com/blog/docs/podcast-player-free/display-podcast/podcast-player-shortcode/

Inform me for more help or explanation on the above.

    Thanks,

OK perfect thanks a lot. But for example it can somehow be done with ACF ? That is, create a custom field with the default shortcode and add only the feed url in the custom field.

Yes. You can do the following steps,

    1. Create a custom field in the post to add only the feed URL.
    2. Add the shortcode in the post template (if you are experienced developer, you can add shortcode in the theme template files).
    3. In shortcode, just replace the feed URL with the custom field slug.

It should work. Inform me for more help on this.

    Thanks,

Thank you very much for your help.

For the template of the articles I use Elementor.

Can I do exactly what you said the same via Elementor?

I add the shortcode widget and insert your shortcode, but I don’t understand how to set the dynamic url that must be taken from the custom field created with ACF. I need to understand only this last step. Normally I can do it, but with your shortcode I can’t understand, maybe I’m missing something?

    Hi there,

If you are using Elementor, you don’t need to use podcast player shortcode. Podcast player widget works perfectly with Elementor. You can find instructions at https://vedathemes.com/blog/docs/podcast-player-free/display-podcast/display-podcast-player-in-elementor-page-builder/

To use custom filed, you only need to know the slug(name) of the custom filed for the feed URL. Now in the above linked instructions, just enter the custom field slug in the feed URL input box of podcast player widget.

Inform me for more help on this.

    Thanks,
