Can you track Menu selections?

Like most people I would like to know how many people are visiting my site. I used page counters and they worked well. Recently I modified my site using more Posts than Pages so people could update the site from their cell-phones. This is working great but I don’t have the ability to count Posts based on a Category. I added Categories to my menu so people could just select the Post Category from the menu and get a listing of all the posts under that specific Category. I lost my ability to count hits because each post is a separate entity. Does anyone know if we can keep track of menu selections in WP?
