I finally got multi site running after some problems. Now it is a lot of fun to play with.

Are their plugins or a setting that allow you to share users between your various blogs on your network?

  • There is a central pool of users in a MS install. If you want to give a user access to a different blog, log in as Super Admin to the dashboard of that blog, click on Super Admin->Users->Edit (under the appropriate user).

Select the desired role from the “Role” drop-down menu, and click “Update Profile”.

Your user will then have the new site added to their “My Sites” page of their dashboard.

Yep, users register at the main site, and they has pseudo-subscriber access to all the other sites in the network.

I say pseudo, because they won’t be listed as subscribers on the other sites, but they *will* be able to comment while logged in if any site has the “must be logged in to comment” box checked.

Just like it works at wordpress.com.

    Thanks @johnrork and @andrea_r

@andrea_r – Is their a way to have that ability turned on for registered users while at the same time allowing non-registered to post comments?

Alright so I got it all running and I allowed people to register on the main site. And that seemed to also let them stay logged in on a 2nd network site.

Am I seeing this right? This seems to be what I want.

Should add to that by adding:

I went into the edit site of my 1st site and my 2nd site and saw that Users Can Register was set to 0 on both of them. Yet I could register on the site still. Is their an option to turn off registration for any network sites while allowing people to register as users only on the main site?

Yes. Go to Super Admin -> Options. Looks for “allow site owners to add users” and UNcheck it.

    hi
i install “ucan post” plugin on my blog until user can publish but the must register on every blog to publish post
is any plugin that all of user on network can login by their user name on all blog and publish their post
i mean if a user register on main site he can send post on all other blog
in this time only in comment area all user has share and send comment with their name but they can log in by their user name on all blog
