I’m using the short code but there are some categories I would like to show in one color and then other categories should show in a different color. I tried putting some code in the style.css file but that didn’t work. I also want to specify the font size per category.
Any help is appreciated

You can use the display_posts_shortcode_post_class filter to customize the classes added to each post (see here).

For instance, if you wanted to add a class for every category, you could use this code: https://gist.github.com/billerickson/ad862c6b0c9f235f999b6645a289fe82
