As we all know – when using wordpress only one page can be updated with different posts and the other pages are static.
Err… huh? That doesn’t sound like any of my WordPress blogs.
Are you confusing Pages with pages (things that display posts)?
Are you asking for a way to not show new posts on your main blog post? If so, look for one of the (many) category excluder plugins. You can set those up so any post in a given category doesn’t get shown on the main page but still shows up in the category listings and such.
As for the rest of the questions, I’m afraid I don’t understand what you’re asking. Could you clarify a bit?
When I post I check off the box that asks if you want it to the front page. (About).
If I want to post to page 1 – i end up having to go directly into the page and just putting the post in manually – in essence it looks like I have 1 total post on page 1 when you look at my blog.

I want to be able to update page 1 automatically like I update the about page. Someone told me I would have to link a seperate blog to be able to do this???
