Support » Installing WordPress » Can you get the WYSIWYG to write to different tables?

    This is my site: http://www.ihavetoblog.com

I was trying to screw around and installed 3 different instances of WP, one for the main page, one for the Credit Card section, and another for the Deals section.

Since then, I have learned a lot and decided that it is time to write my own pHp pages for what I want to happen. So, instead of having Categories or other instances of WP, I want to have a creditcard.php or deals.php and call on different tables.

But, if I go to phpMyadmin and create the tables, can I have the WYSIWYG write to those tables? Or will it always write to the WP_ table?

WordPress will always save posts to *its* posts table. Unless you’re prepared to do some serious rewriting of the WordPress core source, there’s no way around that.
