Can you create a custom merge tag?

    I am setting a value in short code at the top of a page. I want my Ninja Form to pull in this value into the Notification Email field. This value will change depending on what page the user came from.
    Custom merge tags seem to be the only solution but I don’t know how to get them to show up a a choice when I go to my field advanced tab,
